The Orthogonal Fusion Engine.

Zero-Compute vector resolution natively on-disk.

Liminal Logic Labs LLC engineers database infrastructure that prevents Latent Space Collapse in multi-dimensional vector AI. By explicitly decoupling structural physics from semantic identity, we execute late-fusion topological sorting natively via PL/pgSQL—achieving sub-50ms resolution without Python ML inference layers.

[VIEW ARCHITECTURE]

Moving Data to Compute (The Legacy Bottleneck)

Current vector-first architectures (e.g., Pinecone + Cohere) require moving data to the compute layer. To resolve complex user intent, standard systems query a vector database, pull thousands of candidate IDs across the network, feed them into an external Python-based ML reranker, and return the subset. This introduces severe network I/O latency, massive inference compute costs, and vulnerability to array truncation.

Moving Compute to Data (The Orthogonal Stack)

Trip-L pushes the compute to the data. Utilizing Deterministic Namespace Coercion and Strict CTE Sandboxing, we push the user's weighting scalar (W_s) down to the native database level. The dual-manifold sort is executed directly on the SSD/RAM where the data lives. Zero inference overhead. Zero network bottleneck.

[ EDGE GATEWAY ]
Ingest: Unstructured multi-modal intent.
Process: Generates Bipolar Weighting Scalar (W_s) via Inertial Debounce Multiplexing. Validates monotonic sequence ID.
Output: Mounts W_s as Immutable Variable.
[ NATIVE POSTGRESQL CORE ]
Layer A: Evaluates Low-D Physical Vector Array (Threshold > 0.95)
Layer B: Evaluates High-D Cultural Vector Array (HNSW Sweep)
Synthesis: Native PL/pgSQL applies W_s scalar on-disk.
[ LATE-FUSION OUTPUT ]
Result: Unified gravity_score generated without external Python rerankers.
Latency: <50ms.

Engineered for the Edge. Scaled for the Cloud.

The Orthogonal Fusion Engine was intentionally architected to eliminate reliance on heavy GPU inference clusters. By strictly moving compute to the data layer via native PL/pgSQL, the engine operates with extreme efficiency—capable of running locally on consumer edge hardware, while scaling seamlessly into serverless cloud environments.
